Job Summary

The Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) Corporate Strategy team is searching for an analyst to help impact UPS strategic direction. This role will support some of the most important strategic initiatives across the business, such as monetization, innovation, mergers & acquisitions, and digital/data transformation strategies. The most important characteristic of the SCS strategy team is that we understand how to analyze data, forecast financials, and translate the "big picture" into actionable steps that lead to meaningful positive change in the organization. Our role is to recommend and influence senior leadership and teams across UPS to pursue a long-term strategic vision that will ensure a bright future for SCS UPS.

We are looking for aStrategy Analystwho will excel in this role, meaning this individual is curious, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated to excel not only their day-to-day responsibilities, but also constantly looking for new opportunities to add additional value. This position may have supervisory responsibility for administrative or technical employees.

  • Performs data and financial analyses necessary to evaluate strategic opportunities
  • Evaluates strategic project financial performance
  • Consults and collaborates with internal subject matter experts to design the best approach to solving business issues
  • Makes recommendations on the best course of action for the business
  • Influences others through informal and formal communications and presentations
  • Redesigns existing or new scalable solutions, and where appropriate pilots or implements a proposed solution

  • Possesses strong financial acumen and data analytic capabilities
  • Demonstrates logical thinking and solves puzzles; data manipulation skills
  • Displays ability to work independentlyandas a part of a team; is advocating, inspiring, and empathizing
  • Builds presentations/communication that communicates a complicated problem in easy and inspiring engagement, and influences others to act
  • Learns new technical and non-technical skills
  • Sees the "big picture" and pulls out actionable insights from a sea of thousands of variables
  • Prioritizes activity that leads to meaningful change and positive financial results
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint,PowerBI, and Access)
