Job Summary

The Global Commodity Supervisor is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing improvements in end to end processes and programs. This position develops global standards, processes and programs within their identified area of responsibility. This role monitors the health of assigned processes, programs, policies, systems and tools to identify pain points and then develops and implements solutions to eliminate identified issues. The Global Commodity Supervisor serves as the UPS Subject Matter Expert in their area of assigned responsibility and may supervise others.

  • Develops plans, executes, and analyzes risks related to projects
  • Identifies process improvements
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders globally
  • Communicates strategies and results to leadership
  • Manages and develops other employees
  • Conducts Operational Process Development and Compliance
  • Provides costing and pricing information
  • Supports Procurement and Carrier Relations Initiatives

  • Demonstrates experience developing and understanding business cases
  • Possesses process improvement and implementation experience
  • Displays good communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience managing teams and/or people; project management skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Source-to-Pay process and technology
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (proficient with Excel and Access)
  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Willing to travel, up to 25% (international)
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Supply Chain Management, Business or Marketing
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in finance, procurement operations, or process design and improvement roles
